Discussion Questions for Week of 11/3/19
The Good News of God is not just that he can transform us personally, but also that he calls and places us in the family of God.
The messages suggested that God’s good news is not just that I can be personally transformed by Christ, but also that God places us into a church, a family. Why is it important to remember that we are not alone on our journey, and that the Church is part of God’s good plan for us?
Acts 2 highlights the beginnings of the earliest church and how they “gathered” regularly. Why is it too easy to miss the importance of “gathering” regularly and possibly to take it for granted? Why is it easy to “unexcited” about gathering instead of eager to gather?
The early church practiced “one another” ministry and a deep fellowship together. Describe in your own words what you think this means. Have you experienced “one another” ministry and deep fellowship?
The Book of Acts not only describes this wonderfully connected family of God (the church), but it also describes how God uses this community to grow exponentially and reach others. How do you think these two aspects of deep community and outreach/growth connect together? Why is it important to strive for both?
